UNC Health Nash Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

After an extensive national search, UNC Health Nash is pleased to welcome its new Chief Operations Officer (COO), Dr. Rebecca Hutton.
Hutton most recently served as President of BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel within the BayCare Health System in Clearwater, FL. During her time at BayCare, she led the launch of the Wesley Chapel facility and forged key partnerships with medical and hospital staff to enhance operational efficiencies and improve patient care quality. Hutton brings two decades of pharmaceutical and healthcare leadership experience with her, including leadership roles at Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA, and Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She holds a Master of Business Administration with a specialty in Health Care Administration and a Doctor of Pharmacy.

Hutton, a native of rural Maryland, is passionate about improving healthcare in rural settings, and is ready to make a transition to the Nash County area.

Hutton is scheduled to begin her new role in early March.
The role of Chief Operating Officer at Nash was previously held by Crystal Hayden who now serves as Chief Executive Officer for UNC Health Lenoir.
