Strategic Plan
Our strategic plan defines our organization's short and long-term priorities for fulfilling our community's health care needs.
UNC Health Nash’s board of commissioners adopted our newest strategic plan in March of 2023 to guide the organization for a 3-5 year period. The strategic planning process involved gathering input from a wide variety of stakeholders – patients, community leaders, staff, medical staff, faith and other non-profit organizations, etc. – as well as detailed data analysis and a provider needs assessment.
The Planning & Facilities Development Committee (a subcommittee of the board) guides the strategic planning process and implementation, and tracks progress through regular meetings throughout the year. Medical staff leaders serve as ad-hoc members to this committee and are heavily involved in the planning process.
A Letter from the Board Chairman
"As we continue on the path of rapid growth and expansion, our overall strategic vision is for the hospital to solidify itself as the region’s market leader, distinguished by ease of access, expanded service offerings, exceptional quality and patient experience, and workforce and community engagement. We have an obligation to the communities we serve, and we must continue to provide the right services and highest quality care, right here at home."
