UNC Health Nash Urgent Care

UNC Health Nash Urgent Care provides prompt medical attention for individuals aged 6 months and older, serving as a convenient alternative to the emergency room for non-life-threatening conditions, such as minor cuts, sprains, cold and flu symptoms and other common ailments. The facility aims to reduce the long wait times often associated with emergency rooms, offering more cost-effective, accessible, and timely care for patients.

Conveniently situated at the entrance to the UNC Nash campus, and is part of UNC Nash’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to quality healthcare services in Nash County and the surrounding region.

What to Expect at Urgent Care

Count on UNC Health Nash Urgent Care to provide prompt, professional treatment for you and your family. Benefiting from a team comprised of an onsite Medical Provider, Certified Medical Assistants, Medical Office Assistants and Radiology Technologists, patients will receive the same comprehensive, reliable, and high-quality care that UNC Health Nash is known for, now in a specialized urgent care environment.

On-Site Services

If your visit requires an X-ray or lab work, you’ll appreciate the convenience of our on-site services. Rapid tests—including flu, strep, mono, and COVID—provide results during your appointment so you can get answers and treatment quickly. We also offer sports physicals, and DOT physicals available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 5:00 PM as the final appointment time for DOT physicals. All urgent care services are provided following an evaluation by a licensed provider.

Payment for Urgent Care

To support a diverse range of community needs, the clinic will accept all payment types, and services will be available regardless of insurance status. While health insurance is not mandatory, payment will be required at the time of service.
