New Employee Orientation

Parking & Campus Map

Parking for New Employee Orientation is located on the upper parking deck outside of the Nash General Hospital main entrance (refer to this map for staff parking.) During orientation you will be instructed where to park after fully beginning your employment. Please contact your leader if you have any questions.

    General Orientation Expectations

    • Please plan to attend orientation from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please arrive by 7:45 AM to get settled and complete any additional tasks before presentations begin.
    • Clinical staff may wear business casual or scrubs on the first day of orientation. All others should wear business casual.
    • There will be presentations from organization leaders (you will be provided with materials to take notes.)
    • Lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary concerns or restrictions, please inform your onboarding team member during your pre-hire appointment; we recommend bringing lunch from home—during a scheduled lunch break, you will be able to explore the Courtyard Cafe and learn about what dietary options will be available daily moving forward.

    Nursing & Nursing Support Orientation Expectations

    • Please plan to attend orientation from 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM.
    • Clinical staff should wear scrubs on Tuesday and Wednesday orientation (see your specific unit requirements.)
    • Department specific orientation will be communicated by department managers or educators for the remainder of the week.
    • Lunch can be purchased from the Courtyard Cafe or should be brought from home.

    What to Bring

    • A light jacket.
    • Banking information for direct deposit (bring on the last day of orientation.)
    • Bring any information need to complete tax forms and signup for benefits (please refer to this document for a list of tax questions you will be asked.)
    • To add spouse or child to benefits be sure to have your marriage license, birth certificates, and social security numbers.
