New Nash UNC Health Care Foundation Board Members and Officers Named

The Nash UNC Health Care Board of Directors approved new Foundation board members and officers in December

The Nash UNC Health Care Board of Directors has approved new board members and officers for the Nash UNC Health Care Foundation.

The new Foundation board members include: Adam Hodges – Director of Operations for Crown LSP Group, Dr. David Seaman – General Surgeon and Jeff Tobias – Senior VP, Commercial Team Manager for Providence Bank.

Hodges, Dr. Seaman and Tobias join 17 other members who are currently serving on the Nash UNC Health Care Foundation Board: Sylvia C. Harriss – Community Leader and Former Executive Director of Communities in Schools, Lank Dunton – Market Executive/Senior Vice President of CresCom Bank, Katie Keeter – Senior Manager, Resource Management at Deloitte Services LP, W. Jeffrey A. Batts – Attorney at Law at Batts, Batts and Bell, Julia Congleton-Bryant – Retired Educator with Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools, Kara W. Cox – RM Site Community Engagement, Culture, Communications Support Role at Pfizer Global Supply, Brigadier General Arnold Gordon-Bray – Retired US Army Veteran, Shirley P. Gustafson – Managing Partner at SJW Powell Properties and retired educator, Shawn Hartley – Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nash UNC Health Care, Dr. L. Lee Isley – President and Chief Executive Officer of Nash UNC Health Care, Kay Mitchell – Real Estate Broker at Stone Auction and Realty, Anne Mosley – Community Leader, Jacob R. Parrott, III – Attorney at Parker Poe Attorneys & Counselors at Law, Thomas Rhodes – CPCU, CIC, AIC, ARM AU, AFSB, CBIA – John Hackney Agency, INC., Beth Turnage – Community Leader, Marlo Williams – Director of Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel – Envolve Vision and Dr. Robert E. Zipf Jr, MD – Retired Director of Laboratories for Nash UNC Health Care.

In addition to the new board members, new board officers were also approved during the December meeting. Lank Dunton was approved as Chairman, making Sylvia Harriss the Immediate Past Chair. Thomas Rhodes was selected as Vice-Chairman and Katie Keeter was voted in as Secretary/Treasurer.

Stacy Jesso, Nash UNC Health Care chief development officer and Foundation vice president, shared her excitement regarding the addition of new board members.

“I am energized by our new Nash UNC Health Care Foundation board members. These leaders bring a great deal of experience and community perspectives to our board. These professionals started by volunteering on committees and spearheading fundraisers and we were immediately impressed with their leadership skills, civic involvement, and strong interest in quality health care for our community. We look forward to working with them and serving our community together,” Jesso stated.

The Nash UNC Health Care Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable corporation that seeks to support Nash UNC Health Care’s mission of providing superior quality health care services and helping to improve the health of the community in a caring, efficient and financially sound manner.

Financial contributions to the Foundation help provide the resources necessary to maintain the highest level of patient and family support, while also investing in medical technology and equipment, facilities and community health resources.
